DESCRIPTION
EVERLAST ® COMPOSITE ANTI RUST ORGANIC LINER
World-unique high temperature anticorrosion coating and light-metalfibre reinforced composite structure protects dynamically stressed steel structures against rust. Unique also for its exceptional handling, curing and performance properties, EVERLAST®C.A.R.O.L has the added advantage of creating an nontoxic environmental-safe anti-rust coating.
  • High performance composite coating – in its easy to use kit –EVERLAST®C.A.R.O.L was developed to rust-protect critical operating steel structures faster, more reliably and with greater ease than before.
  • EVERLAST®C.A.R.O.L. has a built-in threefold anticorrosion security and tolerates damp and cold working sites.
  • New technology used in this primer allows it to penetrate adherent rust on pitted steel for optimum protection of the surface. This penetrating, or "wetting" action, allows this primer to be used over tight rust on the steel surface, encapsulating the rust into the coating.
  • This technology is superior to the "soap type" wetting agents used in the past.Blast cleaned steel for underwater service is first treated with FIX-IT and then EVERLAST®C.A.R.O.L. is applied forming an organometallic electropassivating layer.
  • Extremely tough and - fast curing upon contact with the steel surface - , it forms permanent bonds to steel under typical dry service temperatures of –180° to +320°C (–290° to +610°F).
  • Its excellent weldability and chip proof properties make it suitable as a anti-rust coating in the most extreme environments. And, the two component system’s long potlife, quick-curing features make it very convenient for fast, on-site repairs, especially to steel hulls and other steel parts exposed to seawater and weather corrosion.

SPECIAL
FEATURES:
·No need to blast clean
·Direct replacement for reliable but toxic red lead coatings.
·Can be applied direct to firm rust
·Refurbishment instead of costly replacement
·Reduced downtime with minimal disruption

·Fast curing – repaired equipment is back in light service
in a few hours
·Eco-friendly high-performance thick-film rustprotection
coating that withstands dynamic-mechanic forces.
·Lead-and chromate free, non-toxic can be used (nonimmersed)
as single coating

·No time-pressure during application, brush/roll/spray direct from
premixed can, without dosage equipment etc.- ideal for one-man use.
·Tough – won’t fracture under most stress
·Usable during cold, humid weather conditions (no more heated tents!)
·consumer-userfriendly 2-pack, qusai 1-component application method

·Sharp Edges: The ability of EVERLAST®C.A.R.O.L. to protect sharp
edges is one of the most important features. This is the area where
many coatings fail first and where the most protection is needed.

·Wet-on-Wet Re-coat: EVERLAST®C.A.R.O.L. can be recoated
"wet-on-wet" with only 1 hour between coats at 77degF (25degC). With
this procedure up to 500 µ can be applied in 2 coats 1 hour apart.

·One Coat: For economy, a single coat of EVERLAST®C.A.R.O.L. can
be used because of the high film build and the mastic properties.
One coat of this product will easily out perform two coats of other
coatings such as alkyds.

TYPICAL
APPLICATIONS
·Used for both interior and exterior applications in Chemical, Fertilizer &
Power plants, Shipyards and Petroleum Refineries, Pulp and Paper Mills,
Offshore Oil-Drilling Platforms, Water and Sewage Treatment plants and
Steel construction in Mining operations. Also in Rail Cars, Power &
Cogeneration Plants, Waste Treatment Plants, Offshore &
Main Structures . When used as a prime coat with properly selected
topcoats this product can be used in Warehouses and in Food Plant.
